("we", "us", or "the Company") operates the UGLYPEAR AI website (uglypear.com) and the SmartSlim, Maggie File, and RAG data-engineering products and services. We take your privacy and data security seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use, store and protect it, and the rights you have.

1. Information we collect

Account & license information:email address, company name, and order number you provide when purchasing or activating a product, used for license issuance and support.
Payment information:payments are processed by Creem (merchant of record) and other third-party payment providers. We do not collect or store your card number, CVV, or other payment credentials.
Device & activation information:device identifiers and activation records used to verify software license authorization.
Support inquiries:questions and contact details you submit via forms, email, or live chat.
Website analytics:we use a privacy-friendly analytics tool (Plausible) to measure traffic; it does not track you across sites or build user profiles.

2. File & data processing (core principle: your data stays inside your network)

SmartSlim (desktop / server editions) and Maggie File compress and process your files locally on your device or within your own private deployment.
The RAG data-engineering platform is built for private deployment: document parsing, cleaning, desensitization, compression, and chunking all run inside the customer's intranet; file contents are never uploaded to our servers.
We do not access, copy, or retain the business documents you process.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to provide and maintain product licenses, handle account login and authorization, deliver customer support, ensure security and prevent fraud, and improve our products based on de-identified data.

4. Storage & security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS; passwords and credentials are stored in irreversibly encrypted form. We apply administrative and technical measures including access controls and audit logging. Because no internet transmission is absolutely secure, please safeguard your account credentials.

5. Sharing & third parties

Payments:licensed payment providers such as Creem, governed by the payment and privacy laws of their jurisdictions.
Analytics:Plausible (privacy-friendly, no cross-site tracking).

Except as described above or where required by law, we do not sell or share your personal information with any third party.

Under applicable laws such as the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) of China and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, delete your personal information, and withdraw consent.
