Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("the Terms") constitute the agreement between you and the developer of SmartSlim regarding your use of the SmartSlim app ("the App"). By using the App, you accept these Terms in full.

1. Description of the Service

The App provides local compression tools for PDF, image, and other files. The feature scope of the free version and the subscription version (SmartSlim Pro) is as displayed in the App.

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

2. Subscription and Auto-Renewal

SmartSlim Pro is offered as monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions.

Subscriptions are paid via Apple App Store In-App Purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal price is the same as your original subscription (except for Apple price adjustments).

You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your device. After cancellation, you can continue using the service until the end of the current period.

Once charged, subscription fees are generally non-refundable except as required by law or permitted by Apple’s policies.

3. Your Responsibilities

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and not to infringe the rights of others, distribute illegal content, or engage in any unlawful activities.

You must have lawful rights to the files you process with the App.

4. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App and its components (including the interface, icons, algorithms, and documentation) belong to the developer and are protected by law. Without written permission, you may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or use them commercially.

5. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is", and the developer makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted or error-free service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect damages arising from use of or inability to use the App, and the developer’s aggregate liability shall not exceed the subscription fees you actually paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

6. Changes and Termination

We may update these Terms from time to time and will display the updated version in the App. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you violate these Terms, we may suspend or terminate the service provided to you.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. Disputes shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; failing that, they shall be submitted to the competent people’s court at the developer’s domicile.
