SmartSlim Desktop is a cross-platform desktop application, with the underlying self-developed Rust compression engine, and a frontend using React 19 + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS 4. It ensures native-level compression performance while keeping a small installer size and low memory usage.

Multi-Format Compression: Supports PDF, OFD, Word (doc/docx), Excel (xls/xlsx), PPT (ppt/pptx), images (jpg/png/webp/gif, etc.), video (mp4/mkv/mov, etc.), audio (mp3/wav/opus, etc.) — 10 categories, 40+ formats in total.
Batch Processing: Supports drag-and-drop adding multiple files or entire directories. Batch compression tasks run sequentially for stability.
History: Automatically records input/output paths, file sizes, compression ratios, and duration for each compression task for easy tracing and querying.
Resource Control: CPU usage can be adjusted from 10%-100%, and memory usage is limited by percentage of total system memory, preventing compression from affecting other work.
Drag-and-Drop Ready: supports drag files or folder directly drag into the app window, auto-recognize type and add to compression queue.
